Class Q triumph at the Rutland & Stamford Mercury Business Awards

Class Q are delighted to have been crowned Best New Start-Up at the Rutland & Stamford Mercury Business Awards 2021.

After months of anticipation, the finalists, partners, and sponsors along with judges and guests gathered at Greetham Valley to celebrate the best and brightest of the Stamford and Rutland area.

“We finished as a runner up in 2020, and so to be selected again as a finalist and take the top prize this time round was an incredible feat and a wonderful moment of recognition for our fantastic team” said Tom Helliwell, Managing Director. “I pass on my huge congratulations to all of the other worthy winners and finalists; it’s been a challenging 18 months for all businesses and the opportunity to get together and celebrate was special”.

The winners were narrowed down from 200 entries to 24 finalists represented across 8 categories.

Class Q has enjoyed a successful year, with dozens of new planning approvals and fast approaching 1,000 new homes in the pipeline. The team has grown from 3 to 7 over the course of 5 months, but expansion plans will continue into 2022.

“We’ve seen the team grow significantly in 2021 as well as adding architecture to our service offering” commented Iain Downer, Operations Director. “We expect the team to continue to grow through 2022, with plans for a new regional office to follow.”
